Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a bird sanctuary in the Valley of Syracuse. It is located on top of a ridge, overlooking the valley. To get to the entrance point from the city, take west seneca turnpike to hooper road, turn left, park at the dead end sign. There is a clearly marked trail at the entrance.

"A Bird's Sanctuary" is located in a wildlife preserve in the valley of Syracuse NY. It is a little known refuge that is known for it's birds and other wildlife. When you walk through the area, you get the sense of what Syracuse looked to the natives hundreds of years ago. You will need to hike up to the top of a ridge at almost 900 ft. From the top, it is a beautiful view. I hope you will like this place as much as I do... Happy caching!
