Once the home of a fleet of school busses, this new park in one of DC's most exciting neighborhoods has fun in store for just about everyone. Built on top of the old Washington City Canal which first opened in 1815, the park now features a dog walk, children's play areas, picnic areas, and depending on the weather either an ice skating rink or awesome water features that kids (and adults) are actually encouraged to enjoy. Be sure to stop by the Park Tavern for a drink or a bite to eat. The restaurant even features a "green" roof and observation area.
Check out these great before and after photos. This spot was just calling for a cache! Placed with permission!
Congrats to wetfit on the FTF.
