Brantford Parks & Rec and 13coach13 are hosting another PHUN, PHOTOS, and PHOONS EVENT . . . and we want YOU to join us!
Meet at T.B. Costain/SC Johnson Community Centre, located at 16 Morrell St., Brantford, on Saturday, September 21, 2013. Event will run from 1-5:30 pm.
Terrain rating depends on the number and difficulty of activities taking place at this event.
PLEASE NOTE DATE HAS CHANGED!!! EVENT WILL NOW BE ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2013. ALL OTHER INFORMATION WILL REMAIN THE SAME.
We had SO much fun last year, and received several requests to "CAN WE DO IT AGAIN . . . ONLY LONGER?!" that we decided to plan a second event!
Weather was a bit chilly last year so we have also moved the event up by a month!
We encourage geocachers both new and experienced to join us for a great day of PHOONING around Brantford! Come ready to meet new people and "STRIKE THE POSE!" Creativity is encouraged and props are welcome!
PHOONING teams will be organized once everyone has signed in at the event.
EVENT ACTIVITIES
1-1:15 pm - sign the logbook
1:15-1:30 pm - Phooning Activity explained & teams organized
1:30-1:45 pm - Team huddle (choose team name and make team sign)
1:45-4:15 pm - GO PHOON! (You MUST be back by 4:15 pm SHARP for your pictures to be included in the judging!)
4:15-5 pm - Upload photos to be judged PLUS . . . ANOTHER TWIST }:^)
5-5:30 pm - Prize draw/Group photo
You must be present to claim a prize if your name is drawn. Winning photos will be uploaded to the event page for all to see!
WHAT TO BRING
- Water will be provided
- GPS
- Camera or cell phone AND cord for uploading pictures to PC
- Dry clothes :) (because we live and play near the Grand River!!!)
- Proper footwear
- A well-practised phoon!
PRIZES have been donated by Cacher's Toybox, Cacher's Corner Store, Brantford Tourism, and Geocaching Unlimited.
