This cache is in honor of my son's 8th birthday. He has been enjoying geocaching with me, and so his mom bought him the materials to place his own geocache for his birthday. He helped pick the cache location.
This geocache is hidden in a treeline in Round Lake Heights. The village does not allow street parking, but there is parking about a block away at the Round Lake Middle School. The cache is located on the west side of the fence; don't go on the east side as that is private property. The container is a waterproof clear plastic box. Please replace the cache as you found it.
The cache is located near the WRLR radio broadcast antenna (it is not on/in/behind the fence surrounding the antenna). WRLR is a low-powered FM (LPFM) station, and the only community-based non-religious LPFM in the state of Illinois. As LPFM the signal has a limited reach, so while you are nearby check them out at 98.3!
