The Inland Water Route Historical Museum is dedicated to maintaining and preserving the history of the Inland Waterway that connects Crooked Lake to Lake Huron. Inside the museum are displays, which include photos and artifacts on each community along the entire water route (Conway, Oden, Ponshewaing, Alanson, Indian River, Topinabee, and Cheboygan). There are also special displays that focus on logging, railroad use, and lodging as it pertained to the early settlement years of the water route.
