This cache is just a short distance from the centre of Carlisle on a bike path which is part of Route 7 and 10, and also part of the Cumbria Way, which is a long distance footpath starting where Stan Laurel was born and ending just a few hundred metres further north of here, along this converted old railway line running along the River Caldew.
This area also forms part of the recently made flood defences for the city, and if you look closely, you will see some small colourful tiles set into the floodwall along the pathway.
This is definately a park and grab cache, as easy parking is available right next to it. Its also very wheelchair accessible, and suitable for cyclists and walkers, of course.

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2015
Replaced container again, now back to how it was originally, first one was part of the debris of a vehicle crash, this one is also from a vehicle but hopefully not one that crashed! Upped the difficulty rating a bit, could be a 5 star for newbies but only a 1 star for experienced cachers...
