What is known, though, is that the Kurgan discovered his immortality very early in his teen years and grew to relish the cycle of death and rebirth it brought. Ever the aggressor in all of his battles, he often learned more from defeat than victory. Through many imprisonments and much torture he became an expert on pain and suffering, knowledge he would gleefully demonstrate to his victims before finally putting them out of their misery. As his reputation for savagery grew, so did the numbers of his kills, both immortal and mortal.
He became the very definition of a mercenary, hiring himself out to fight for Russian Cossacks, Mongol hordes, Thuggee cultists, German Nazis, Serbian paramilitary, and Sicilian crime lords.
Although he is indisputably a warrior-savage, in his lifetimes he has also developed a taste for art, and is rumoured to have amassed a rather impressive private collection, from Da Vinci sketches of him (Il Condottiero, for example) to Rembrandt etchings, a few Picassos, and even an exclusive Warhol piece that depicts the Kurgan as a god.
When he became aware of the approaching Gathering, the Kurgan began to tirelessly roam the world, seeking out weaker immortals and beheading them. “Thinning the herd”, he cackled, “so I may take my Prize more quickly.”
Can you help The Kurgan determine where the Gathering will take place? You need to find each of the caches in this series and collect clues from them to determine where these immortals will be doing battle.
Remember, there can be only ONE!
The cache is a small camo-painted L&L that contains a clue stick. You will need to copy down the information that is written on BOTH SIDES OF THE STICK, however if the stick has gone missing or is unreadable you will find the necessary info on the inside back cover of the log book.
