Geocache Description:

Quaint little park. Long and narrow.

Oswego, a Seneca Indian term meaning "the flowing out place". Oswego began where Waubonsie Creek flows into the Fox River.

The are signs about Small-mouth Bass fishing, I don't indulge but bring your fishing rod if you're so inclined.

Twocampers log:
<snip>I used to play here as young man before the dam was washed out. It looks very different now. It's a shame the history of the place is almost lost. The mansion on the hill once belonged to the doctor that took care of Al Capone and his gang. The brothel and gambling hall were still standing in the early 60's. Not to far from here, the body of Cherry Nose Wilson was unearthed during construction of a home. I wish I could remember more of the history. <snip> I hadn't thought about this place in years.
