This cache has been set out in advance of a Geocache event to be held on September 7, 2013 at Pioneer Park in Fairbanks.
If you are planning to participate in this event, this is what you need to do. Upon finding the cache, sign the log of course. Then write down and keep the number that has been assigned to this cache. It has been posted in various places on the cache. This single digit is one of the missing numbers for the location of the “ultimate” cache, set out solely for this event. Also, write down the letter that has been assigned to this cache. Store this number and associated letter in a safe place and bring them to the event. The coordinates of the ultimate cache will not be disclosed until September 7 at the event. When revealed, the “ultimate” cache will have letters instead of numbers. Replace the letter with its associated number. Also, while you are signing the log, take a minute and look around the surrounding area. Note anything you see that is both obvious and unusual. This information will reward you handsomely during the event.
If you are not attending, please sign the log and cache on.
Prior to September 7, any log entry that gives a hint to the cache location will be deleted.
