My son suggested yesterday that we place a new cache today. Found a container laying around and added a log, pencil, and some small items to trade. I would BYOP just in case the pencil disappears.
Now the location. I have a feeling that there will be a lot more in this area in the future but for now, it's nothing but a big field. It was freshly mowed today but I'm willing to bet this grass will be one of the last fields to be mowed as summer comes along and will get long eventually. So while the hike is flat and relatively short, I would wear long pants to avoid some prickly weeds and who knows, maybe a creature or two.
