Mundy Park is among Coquitlam's community’s most treasured assets. The 178 hectare park and trail system offer visitors an exceptional recreation experience in a rare urban forest. As a temperate rainforest, the Park’s mix of deciduous woodland and coniferous forest trees play a central role in the park ecosystem. The tree habitat supports many birds and mammal species, such as bats, butterflies and owls. Larger animals, such as deer and black bears also frequent the forest at various times of the year.
The park’s contains a 5.5km multi-use community pathway, off of which you will find a myriad of lesser trails. My cache has changed ... the first went missing, and it is now an ammo can, fully stocked with lots of swag. It is a bit off one of the main trails.
