An easy stroll along a path in the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens - situated in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom. Pack a picnic to enjoy between caches - perfect for a family day out. Note - there will be a fee to enter the gardens if you are not a member, but worth it if you are going to make a day of it.
Only read further if you want to take the same paths that we took - otherwise enjoy the gardens and the foresty areas that my two daughters christened "The Fairy Forest"...
Park at the top entrance to Kirstenbosch and follow the paved area past the restaurant on your right and down the steps. Take the path to the right over the little stream. Shortly after the grassy area starts on the left you will see a sign on the right pointing to "The Koppie" and "Proteas, Ericas & Restios" - take this path until you reach a meeting of benches and a water fountain, take the path into the trees to the right over the bridge. Keep going and when you reach the logged path to the left continue up - you are on the right track.
