A cache to honor my cousin Sokagawea. A simple bearing hide. Posted coordinates are the starting point. D rating reflects I am only giving you bearing and no distance number. T rating reflects tool needed for final.
Sokagawea is widely known for leading Lewis & Clark across the plains to the western sea. The journey took years and covered thousands of miles.
She shared that her happiest memories were the 131ish days they spent camped where the Columbia river met the Pacific.
Her only son Jean-Baptiste lived in Auburn & when she came to visit we would spend hours playing on the nearby river. The Sok clan marveled at her ability to make friends wherever she went. She has a wicked sense of humor & invented the game of "pick up sticks".
She now wanders the ancient lands of the Shoshone and helps travelers that have lost their way.
FTF Honors goes to Kappa65!
