Geocache Description:

The Metro Parks GeoTrail is designed to take you on a tour of 14 parks and one Greenway Trail. The 15 coordinates on the GeoTrail map will take you to some of the most beautiful areas in the parks. Download the map at www.metroparks.net. Use the GeoTrail map and complete your search at all the given locations and coordinates. The first 100 geocache usernames to complete the trail will receive a special edition Metro Parks Geocoin at a campfire in August.

This cache can be found by walking the Red Oak Trail. Look for a hollow log next to a 6- trunked Sugar Maple tree. Watch out for poison ivy and please no pets. Metro Parks permit #: MPGT-15
 
How to participate in the Metro Parks GeoTrail:
• Print GeoTrail map at www.metroparks.net
• Use coordinates to find the camouflaged, plastic container.
• Sign the log, trade trinkets and copy the key word(s) onto the correct box of GeoTrail map.
• Log your find at Geocaching.com and post comments or photographs.
• Once you find and log all 15 caches, return your complete GeoTrail map to Metro Parks headquarters (1069 W. Main Street, Westerville) or to a nature center at Battelle Darby Creek, Blacklick Woods, Blendon Woods or Highbanks Metro Parks.
• Geocoins will be available on August 23rd at the GeoTrail Campfire Celebration at Highbanks Metro Park. If you cannot attend the campfire other arranges can be made.
