Geocache Description:

This cache is almost at the top of Breckenridge Mountain and is near the road and is just a couple minutes before you reach the Fire Lookout.  The pictures will help you find the cache.

Take BreckenridgeRoad from Bakersfield at Comanche Road.  Or, you can come up Breckenridge Road from the other side at Caliente-Bodfish Road near Havilah.  It is about 25 miles, give or take, to get to road 28S07.  This road goes by the campground and past the TV towers and buildings, and continues to the lookout. There is a sign that will point you to the correct road.  It is between there and the lookout up the road.

PLEASE NOTE!!
Breckenridge Road is a good paved road, but it is classified as one-lane. In most places two cars or smaller pick-ups can pass, but trailers, motor homes and larger trucks are *NOT* recommended. Severe winter weather conditions can cause the road to be closed for months at a time, which is good, as it means that snowplows don't tear up the pavement. The road opens when the snow has melted, not before. This is wild country! Many animals, large and small, call this land home: *you* are the intruder, so be mindful of your surroundings.

This is small (3-4 inch diameter) plastic bucket with a lid.  You don't have to crawl through the tunnel to find it, but you can if you're feeling like there won't be an earthquake while you are under the rock!!!!

Good Luck!
