Frem til 2 Februar 2008 var dette tilholds sted for Åkra Røde Kors. Denne dagen ble Åkra, Skudenes og Kopervik Røde Kors slått sammen til Karmøy Røde Kors.
Bygget blir fortsatt brukt av Røde Kors og i tillegg leies huset ut til private tilstelninger.

Until February 2, 2008, this was the abode of Aakra Red Cross. This day Aakra, Skudenes and Kopervik Red Cross merged into Karmøy Red Cross.The building is still used by the Red Cross and also rented the house out for private functions.
