Geocache Description:

The Christchurch Wizard (or New Zealand Wizard as he became known) was an icon of Christchurch and Cathedral square where he entertained many visitors. The Earthquakes of 2010 and 2011 have seen him move on but this is not the only disaster that has caused this Wizard to change location. 

The cache is located outside the property the Wizard lived in before it suffered a fire in 2003, For more details check out this news clip.  Nowadays the property looks very different but there is a distinctive tree that still remains. 

To find the cache you do not need to go onto the property or any gardens/fences. A pen and stealth will be essential as the street is very busy (mind the children) and even the cover of darkness may not give you any assistance to go unnoticed.
