Legend tells of a treasure of immeasurable value hidden in tunnels beneath the St. Louis area. A priest was said to hold the secret of the treasure, but after taking a vow of silence, he promised to never reveal its location. On his death bed, the priest lay holding a letter which was written in an odd language that no one could understand. In his last moments, the priest spoke several words; his voice, although difficult to understand, had an undeniable Spanish accent. He whispered:
"Faber est suae quisque fortunae."
After the priest's death, the brothers of the monastery tried to decipher the meaning of the letter, but no one was able to understand it. The letter was kept safe and was passed down for many generations. The letter has been preserved here in its original form. If you can decipher its meaning, then you may be able to unlock the secret of The Architect.

The following was written on the back of the letter in a different hand:

Be prepared. This cache will test you both mentally and physically. In order to complete this challenge, you will need to enter into numerous dark, cold, wet and sometimes confined spaces and or TUNNELS. Crawling will be required at times and knee pads are recommended. If you are prone to bumping your head a hard hat may be advisable as well. Do not attempt this cache during rain or when rain is forecasted. St Louis tunnels contain floodgates which can open unexpectedly during rains and will raise water levels very quickly. Always bring three flashlights when entering into dark spaces. MSD policy states that entering into storm drains IS LEGAL so long as the tunnel is on public property. Pay attention to all of the details you find along the way and take notes and pictures of everything. Good luck and have fun!
