This is a great park and nature preserve. Enjoy a chance to hike around the lake. The main trail is well groomed and fairly level. There are a few other trails that allow you to enjoy a bit more terrain change!!!!!
This is another MI Barrel Makers Letterbox cache. Placed by Sydney who turns 7 1/2 on June 11 and has been bugging me to get a cache placed for her - since we always seem to miss her winter birthday.
The final is a large container so two rare types with one cache!
For this letterbox you will start out at the posted coords. You will find a sign there. You will want to make note of the year " _ _ 0 0 " the first two digits are the number of paces you will take East along the trail. At that point you should notice a very young "mighty white pine" on your left.
At that place you will need to turn off trail. Head to the north. You should see a large down tree. Follow that tree all the way to the stump. (If you are like sydney you will insist on walking up the tree)
At the stump continue looking north you should see a small down tree that is about 16 of sydneys feet long..... again we know since she wanted to climb along it. once you get to the north end of that tree take a note of the items you see.
Look north and as Sydney described it you will se a "Twisty Tree" that is down. It is a pretty good size tree and syndey really enjoyed climbing along the trunk of this one all the way to the stump. Once you make your way there you will have no trouble locating this large cache she wanted to place.
