Near the end of our fun week the perimeter fence for the Burning Man event has collected quite a bit of MOOP (matter out of place).
We will do our part in participating for the community by cleaning up the worst section of the pentagon perimeter fence.
At 10:02 am we will meet at the intersection of the 12:00 line and the perimeter fence. To find this location, begin your journey from Center Camp and head towards the center of the city. You will pass a large pile of ash. This was once the Man )'(. Continue past the ash for a mile or so keeping the ash pile and the Center Camp lined up behind you. Eventually you will find the Black Rock City perimeter fence which is usually orange contruction fencing. Do NOT cross the fence!!!
You will be provided 1 garbage bag per family/group and 1 small water bottle for each member. When you sign up for attending, please indicate how many people will be with you so that I have enough water bottles.
Please arrive Playa Ready -- have goggles, dust protection, sunscreen, plenty of water (in addition to the small bottle you will receive), and a great attitude.
We will head clockwise along one section of the pentagon boundary towards the 2:30 line. At that location we will regroup and determine which family/group has the greatest amount of MOOP and reward that group with a prize.
If you decide to head out counter-clockwise towards the 9:30 line because it is closer to your camp, you will be responsible for the appropriate removal of your MOOP bag and will not have an opportunity to win the prize.
