Mongo: ### ARCHIVE OF GEOCACHE DUE TO LACK OF MAINTENANCE BY THE OWNER ###

Greetings BuffaloVal,

I hate to see any cache go, but I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from, nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

CACHE ARCHIVAL IS PERMANENT

Geocaches not maintained by the owner will still be archived even when a throwdown container has been left. Ownership Regarding Throwdowns

Regretfully,
Mongo

Geocache Description:

While out logging some geocaches in some out-of-the-way cemeteries, KoonsKachers and I drove across this one-lane, wooden-deck bridge. We thought it definitely needed a cache hidden on it. This will make an extra cache for which to hunt while looking for the cemetery caches in the area. It’s quite peaceful along here. When we first crossed over the bridge a doe was standing in the field to the north and watched as we went by.

From www.bridgehunter.com, I discovered the following specifics of this bridge: It was built in 1970 and rehabilitated in 1984. Total length of the bridge is 158.1 feet and the deck is 15.7 feet wide. The length of the largest span is 70.9 feet. The average daily traffic is 40. It has a sufficiency rating of 70.8 out of 100 and is rated as satisfactory in deck, superstructure and substructure condition (6 out of 9). The last inspection was performed in February of 2012. Be careful when searching for this cache. We had to sit on the edge when another vehicle crossed over during our visit. Also, be careful not to drop the cache into the creek below. Congratulations to wood-n-block for being FTF!!
