Birsay Scenic Walks No. 3
Care must be taken as the path gets close to the edge of the cliffs in places. There is a small standing stone near by the cache which is close to the edge of the cliff which makes an excellent vantage point to take pictures from and look across to the Brough of Birsay. The cache is very close to the main path. It is a fine spot to sit and have a picnic and look across to the Old Man of Hoy and down into Dounby while discretely accessing the cache. This cache can be accessed by starting from the Kitchener Memorial N59 06.350 W3 20.478 or from the Marwick cache at Marwick Bay, also can be done as a circular route.
This cache is a 900 ml cliplock container with logbook, pen, swaps and room for TB’s and Geocoins.
