A small lock 'n lock container. BYOP. The coordinates were very bouncy, please stay on the trail until you are between two white Bruce trail markers before you begin your ascent. The boulder is Waypointed, so you can go have a look.
congratulations to the sharps on the FTF! A clean sweep!
When I was researching the 'Olde Waterdown" multi's, I came across a description of a"large boulder" that had dates and names inscribed on it from the 1800's. I e-mailed the Flamborough Historical society and they could offer me little help except that it was on the left side of the creek. Apparently it came to their attention in the late 1980's. So I went searching...and this is what I found! I could see one date which I am pretty sure is 1894, and another date that said April '94, and many names, and initials. The longer I looked the more initials and names I found. I could picture teenagers from the 1890's coming out here, much like the kids of today...but how different it was back then. Seemed pretty neat so I thought I would place a cache close to here and you all could come and have a look and see what you think. The boulder is just off the Bruce trail, terrain is a 3 to 3.5 to get there.
Enjoy the hike!
