Take an 'ET' Hike #1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

coloReido: This cache is yet another victim of misguided state park ranger rules. And there will be plenty of others. Thanks to all those who visited, and may you still find the effort to visit despite there not being a physical incentive to stop by.

Geocache Description:

From FlightRiskAK's "Take a Hike #1" (GC2YADN), take a hike on the nearby game trail into the hills. This is hiking in typical ET fashion. Sitting at an elevation of 994 feet and a little more than a mile from the McHugh Creek trailhead, you will find a small, screw top container (UPDATE: 28 Apr 2022 - cache was replaced and is now a mega bison). However, the smiley pales in comparison to the views that will reward you on a clear, sunny day.

On the day of placement, there were encounters with two porcupines, and evidence of moose and bear activity. As we were heading back to the parking lot, akgh519 turned around and three Dall sheep were observed right near GZ!

Congratulations to glenn.fish for the FTF!
