Geocache Description:

This is my third circular walk series based on using public footpaths and bridleways.  The terrain is harder and is guaranteed to get the unfit puffing in places. A bit of 'cardio vascular' effort is needed.  Some of the caches are harder to spot, so expect the 'unexpected' and enjoy the test.

The caches are set up around a circular walk of approx. 2.2 miles.  489 feet above sea level at the highest point. After an initial level start the terrain is undulating and quite steep in places. Ideal for those who like to keep fit. You will need sturdy footwear.  It does involve climbing a number of styles. Dog walkers may find some of them difficult to negotiate. There can be times when the ground is muddy and slippery where the paths cross ploughed fields and pass through woods. It is not suitable for wheelchair users, people who have health issues or difficulty with mobility. The walk is on public footpaths, with one short piece of single track country lane.  Please keep on the designated footpaths and do not wander over private farmland.  I have chosen this route because it passes through a very picturesque area. These paths do not get a great deal of use other than by the MOD for training purposes.  I want to encourage people to use them more to ensure that they are kept clear and open for future generations to enjoy.

For the start of the circular route exit the A260 by the garden centre in Swingfield. Signposted Swingfield Street and Lydden. After a few yards turn right into a narrow single track lane.  It is a bit pot holed. It will take you to Boyington Court Farm where there is off road parking for several vehicles, at the entrance of the bridleway into Reinden Wood. Please do not obstruct the bridleway it is used by horses and farm vehicles.

From Cache 7 follow the yellow arrow markers that we have placed to help you. Keep to the fence line and walk up the bank. You should arrive at a stile marked with yellow tape. N51 08.417 E001 11.102. Climb the stile, turn left when you reach the narrow track and follow it to the end. The coordinates are hard to fix here, but you should easily spot it.

To find your way back to the start point after finding this cache, climb the stile nearby and head over the field passing to the right of the farm buildings. There are usually sheep and lambs in this field, so please keep dogs on leads. You will reach a stile into the lane. The car parking is just ahead of you on the left.

I hope that you will enjoy this series as much as I have planning it for you.

**CONGRATULATIONS!**
