Geocache Description:

The cache is a small 5 ½ X 4 X 1 ½ Lock&Lock

This cache will bring you to the Dividend Pond Trails in Rocky Hill.  Get it?  Dividend Pond Trails, You can Bank on it…come on that’s funny I don’t care who you are.  The cache is about a mile hike down the eastern leg of the white trail and is only a very short distance from the trail.  There are 2 other caches on the western leg of the white trail and another on a trail that runs between the 2 legs of the white trail.  These trails are easy to hike but do run close to wetlands so can be goopy.  Also since this area is wetlands “You’ll be wanting the 80 proof bug spray, Aarrggh” (said in a bad Pirate accent)

Rocky Hill's first industrial park that was located in the southern extremities of the town in an area known as Dividend.  In April 2006, this area was listed on the State Register of Historic Places and designated an archaeological preserve to be known as "Dividend Brook Industrial Archaeological District."

I was trying to come up with a banking themed cache but couldn’t so I went with a lot of people think that bankers are modern day pirates.  The cache is a small 5 ½ X 4 X 1 ½ Lock&Lock filled with Pieces of Eight.  There is also a Pirate’s Treasure scratch ticket and an eye patch for the First to Find.  Good Luck with the scratch ticket, hopefully you will have better luck than I did.  Ever wonder why a pirate wears eye patches?  It's not because he was wounded in a sword fight.  When going from bright light to maximum darkness, studies have shown, eye sensitivity continues to change for up to 25 minutes.  Seamen must constantly move between the pitch black of below decks and the bright sunshine above.  Smart pirates wore a patch over one eye to keep it dark-adapted outside.  Should a battle break out and the pirate had to shimmy below, he would simply switch the patch to the outdoor eye and he could see in the dark right away—saving him 25 minutes of flailing his cutlass about in near blindness.
