We cruised past here and thought What was that? It was a strange structure so I turned the ute around and we headed back to get another look.
On arrival back at the area, we found a seat we hadn't seen the first time past! That was another thing to look at here. The real object of interest turned out to be a boring mundain item that is common in the area, just with a fancy twist.
I have found out a bit more information about this site , curtsey of the Southern Freetimes advertiser 6th June 2013. This spot is know as the "Pikedale Pub". The memorial is for Clayton Howard who died in a single vehicle accident on the Texas Road. His two big loves were fishing and wood cutting, hence the memorial at this site. Do pull up and spend a moment.
