Geocache Description:

Saturday 17 August 2013 is the date of this year's International Geocaching Day. We can't do international, but a joint collaboration between Geocaching South-East Queensland and the Northern Rivers Caching Community (NRCC) brings you an Interstate event to be held at Point Danger - right on the border!

All geocachers are invited to come along, no matter which state from which you hail. Being a community-minded event, the FTF caches and prizes have been created and donated by a variety of cachers, from both sides of the border.

Mexican or Banana Bender.
Maroon or Blue.
Cockroach or Cane Toad.
Sunshine State or The First State.
New South Wales or Queensland.

The Location
The event will be held at the shelter shed which looks to be split by the border below the cliffs at Point Danger, just below the lighthouse. There are shelter sheds, open area, bins and BBQs in the park. There is some parking near the event, but plenty on the streets leading to the park.

The Event
The event will kick off at about 10:00AM (and no daylight savings conversions to worry about) we will gather for a fun caching event, a spot of lunch at the posted co-ords and perhaps a game/contest or two. Afterall, August is after the State of Origin. All cachers, both new and old to the game are most welcome and encouraged to come along for the day. Don't forget, there are many varied and great caches hidden in the area.

Consider Yourself Invited!
