This is the last in the There and Back Some More series. This is a circular walk taking you from Ferndale, along the river to Maerdy and back and is approximately a 3 mile round trip. It can be linked to the There and Back series and done in one long circular walk of about 7 miles, The parking co-ordinates are for the Rhondda Life car park, although plenty of on street parking is available.
This is a camouflaged micro. This cache was called Stella's Street as anyone who has seen the TV series Stella will recognise this as the street that she lives in. If you are lucky you may even see them filming some of the scenes as they are filming the third series at present. This is also a place which is favoured by Mrs. Vincent as it is the street that she grew up in and used to play where the cache is placed. We believe that her father was the inspiration for the character of Big Al, and if you see him walking his sheepdog Rolly, he would be delighted to talk to you. Although the parking is listed as the Rhondda Life, there is usually plenty of on street parking here, and this can be done as a cache and dash. If you carry on down the lane after the cache, and take a left down the steps, you will arrive back at the parking co-ordinates. As this one keeps being found by local children, stealth will need to be used as whilst looking as we have changed the location of the cache and it is a little harder to find.
