Going up you only have eyes for one single goal - the summit! Snow-covered mountains and the certainty that there is no point on Crete you could reach that is higher than this.
Coming down from the top will very likely change your perception and open your eyes for something different. Something manifold and of amazing vitality which is totally contrary to the awesome but barren environment of the mountain tops.
So, once more - have a break – best when coming down from the top, after visiting one of the very exciting caches like zeus E4 CTC, Crossroad at Psilorirtis E4 CTC or the View to Timeos Stavros.
As usual we would recommend to take some time and a seat in the shadow of the rest place. From here you can enjoy the view to the nature, the below villages and the coastal mountain ranges in front of the aegean sea from an elevation of about 1000 m above sea level.
Nevertheless the cache is hidden and you have to remove 'something' to get it – please do this carefully! We recommend to be very carefully grabing in holes or other unclear aeras – especially if you are searching together with your kids. You should know that there are some kind of animals which could harm you more or less. It is not very likely to encounter these animals while you are on your cache tour. But it is better to know about any possible risks!
