This cache is a fake stone on the railway line looking over the grounds of the Miner's Welfare, many sports and car boot sales are held here throughout the year. Please note there is no access from the Miner's Welfare grounds as the path passes under old the railway line, GZ is at a much higher elevation. Not suitable for cache and dash - See additional waypoint for access to railway path.
Grizzly's Furnace Circuit : a series of caches on public paths which can either be walked in about 2 hours from the Moira Furnace or as individual caches. The route is on the disused railway line now comprising the Ashby Woulds Heritage trail and other well-maintained paths and some field walking and stiles. Ruggedised pushchairs could get round with a bit of lifting, a wheelchair route would be more difficult but road access to many of the caches is possible. The numerical sequence of the caches is recommended but alternative routes are possible by referring to the local OS map. Refreshments are available at various local cafes and pubs.
