I found this today on the way to Jones Point Cache. This tunnel served the port of Alexandria and played a part in Civil War history and O&A Railroad history (among others). It is now a hiker/biker trail. Look at the ceiling. Is that soot from coal fired steam engines? To score the find email to me the number that appears on the historical marker that bears a photograph (the sum of the digits is 18). Parking might be an issue, I forgot to check. Enjoy.
