Cache is located along the Sunrise Trail in Ellsworth, easy walking to the site! After you find the Cache you can, if you decide to, walk or drive your ATV all the way to Pembroke Maine 83 miles away! Be sure to bring a writing utensil.
Explore this amazing multi-use trail which starts in Ellsworth and ends in Pembroke with stops in Franklin, Cherryfield, Columbia Falls, Machias, East Machias and ending in Pembroke. Trailhead is located just off the Washington Junction Road and plenty of parking is available. This trail is traveled mostly by ATV all year, walking and traveling the trail by bike is also very fun. If you're brave enough you can make the hike from Ellsworth all the way to Pembroke stealth camping along the way, all 83 miles! Cache is a Micro hidden along the trail, this is a great area to explore all seasons, winter and summer!
