Cache is located trailside on a section of the Jenny Jump Trail (Blue Blaze) in a little-known section of Jenny Jump State Forest. The trail can be wet/muddy in spots, with one serious mud hole just north of the Lake Just-It parking lot. GPS is bouncy, so use titles and hints!! * * * Hunting is allowed, so plan accordingly * * *
The trail is blazed very well. The Hissim Road end is a woods trail; the Lake Just-It end is a wider woods road. The most elevation change is between "Not So Stair Crazy" and "Halfway!!". The trail is about 1.5 miles one way.
Jenny Jump is a favorite of mine. In this section, you will walk through a serene forest and see beautiful ferns and rock walls (glacial and man-made). Perhaps you will contemplate who Jenny was, why she jumped or how Lake Just-It got its name!!
This cache is placed to thank DTLee for populating the Patriot's Path(s) with so many hides. Dave has spent much time, effort (and $$$), placing caches on very nice trails that meander through many parks and towns. Thanks, TrailM8, for sharing new areas to explore and for the opportunity to increase our numbers!!!
Look for Jasper Ralph 13 caches in the area too!!!
