Geocache Description:

This is a 2 stage multi the first stage should take you atleast within 7 feet of the grave site of Michael and Agnes Pamula. From here you will need to read the message below and visit the grave to find the missing numbers for the final coords.  No night caching as it is a cemetary.

This cache is in remembrance of my wife's grandfather( Nuthead00's great grandfather) Michael Pamula. He was a brave soldier and medic of World War 2 who stormed the beaches of  Normandy during the D-Day invasion June 6th 1944 . On that day he landed on Utah beach where he was wounded by German gunfire, but still managed to keep going and  fight on while helping others. Mike went on with Battalion all the way from the beaches of Normandy to the battle of the bulge 1944 to 1945 in the Ardenne forests. While at the battle of the bulge he survived a mine blast that took the lives of the rest of the members riding in the truck he was in. He only survived because he was riding on the wheel well due to the fact he got car sick from riding in the back. He recived many medals for his acts of valor. HE never talked much of his experiences to us, but we were only able to get what we know from his children after his passing. My time with Mike wasn't as long as my wife's , but to know such a man to have gone through so much for his country as so many other men had. To know someone who fought in the great war you will know that they are the greatest generation of our time.So this cache is foir you to visit Mike our family hero and his beloved wife Agnes at their grave site, as he always like visitors, and get a cache.
