Monastery? Mystery Cache

Monastery?  

It has long been rumoured that there was a 13th Century Cistercian Monastery in or near the ancient village of Burghwallis, but it's exact location has been lost in the mists of time.  Whilst undertaking research on the origins of the nearby Hall I stumbled across an old manuscript dating to the middle ages and written by a monk rumoured to be from the Monastery.  Barely legible, I hurridly copied down the text I could make out in to my notebook -




I followed the clues given to me in this text and found a stone pillar.  Could this mark the location of the lost Monastery?
