Geocache Description:

We have brought you to a park that is a peaceful retreat from the University nearby. It has a nice lake, and contains, apparently, a range of different trees from all around the world. If you time it right, you can hear students from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts practicing in the park.

The cache is located near a series of trees which are used by the endangered Carnaby’s Cockatoo. They breed in the Wheatbelt, but spend summer and autumn in the Metro area feeding and roosting overnight in trees such as these. You can see them roost in these trees, arriving at dusk and leaving at sun up. We would love to hear if you see any (and how many there are in the flock).

The cache is a piece of tubing containing a log. It won't be quite where the birds are, and it will help if you know your Eucalypts. Please ensure you put the lid back on tightly ... and be careful of muggles.
