This cache is located at the junction of two sections of canal and a road. It is a magnetic micro with a screw lid. It can be accessed by road or by a stroll along the canal from the heart of the system in the city centre. Parking is very restricted at the road side in this area, although the NIA multi-storey is close
The area is known as Ladywood Junction, where the Birmingham Main Line meets the Oozells Loop. The original Birmingham Main Line, built by James Brindley, meandered around various factories before leaving for Wolverhampton. Although convenient is was slow and in 1827 Thomas Telford finished the new main line canal which cut across the old one creating a number of loops - Oozells Street loop is one of them.
The road is carried over the canal here by St. Vincent Street bridge which has the characteristic red painted fire hatches. These were installed in the second world war to ensure that the Fire Brigade had a plentiful supply of water
From St. Vincent Street the canal continues to Wolverhampton whilst if you look back into the Oozells loop you can see Sherbourne Wharf and the current boat yard
