Geocache Description:

Hidden in the forrest of beautiful Mt. Vernon District Park behind the Mt. Vernon Rec Center (Fairfax County, VA.).  Park is bounded by Ft. Hunt Rd, Belle View Blvd., and Quander Rd.   Park behind the rec center and enter the park on one of the many trails (easiest is to park in the upper, middle lot behind the Rec Center and enter there). The cache is in a tupperware container inside a "RealTree" dry bag. Check the "hint" if you can't find it. Last complete maintenance date was 10 July 2022.

This cache has an Army theme. You're looking for a medium sized tupperware container with digital camo tape, inside a dry bag.  It sits on the ground and may have twigs and bark piled next to it. To get there use one of the many trails in the park and the cache sits 30 feet downhill off the trail. Watch out for mountain bikers and deer! Permission granted from Trina at MVRC to place cache. iPhone GPS can lock up sometimes so be sure to zoom in and out on the cache to update your position. In the fall the County is conducting deer management with bow hunters, so don't dress like a deer. After you find the cache be sure to put the log book in it's blue waterproof bag, close the tupperware lid tightly, and put the whole thing into the "RealTree" drybag.
