Geocache Description:

Camo'd pill bottle hanging on fence outside of the cemetery.  Please be very discreet when retrieving and replacing this one due to the nearby muggles.

Tajique, probably derived from the Spanish word taskike, designating the Tewa 16th century pueblo nearby.  It served as a refuge for the inhabitants of Quarai in 1674.  Later it was abandoned due to raids by the Apaches.  The Tajique post office has ran intermittently from 1885 to present.

In talking with nearby residents, this Tajique Catholic Cemetery is full and there are no definite plans for expansion due to being land-locked.

This cache is placed in honor of those pioneers who lived and died here.

We solicit the volunteer efforts of cachers like yourselves to place a "Spirit" cache at or near a cemetery of your choice.
