El Parc Nou és un parc municipal.
Hi trobem la Torre Castanys, un palauet d’estil italià de 1854, obra de l’arquitecte Josep Fontserè. A la planta baixa allotja el Museu dels Volcans. A la primera planta hi trobem el Centre d’informació del Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa.
El jardí botànic que l’envolta mostra una espectacular roureda monumental de roure pènol, àrees d’esplai i un jardí de plantes medicinals.
The “Parc Nou” is a municipal park.
We found the “Torre Castanys”, a 1854 Italian style mansion, designed by architect Josep Fontserè. The ground floor houses the Museum of the Volcanoes. On the first floor there is the information center of the Natural Park of the Volcanic Area of La Garrotxa.
The botanical garden that surrounds it has monumental oak forests, recreational areas and a garden of medicinal plants.
