The J.H. Phillips Wayside is south of Lynchburg on Highway 29. If you're on a long trip it's a good spot to stop and stretch your legs. There are picnic tables and plenty of shaded areas to relax in.
Up the hill you'll see a fenced nature reserve managed by Randolph College. Enter the gate and head up the trail to find the cache.
The trail is difficult to see at times but it's there. Weak GPS signal made it hard to give accurate coordinates therefore the clue is basically a giveaway. Don't use it unless you want the exact location of the cache.
The cache is small but can hold trade items and small trackables. Please be sure to close the container properly and replace the natural camo as best you can. Remember to "cache in, trash out" while you're there. Thanks!
