Geocache Description:

Castle is located on the townland or Reeves, near Killadoon, Ardclough, Lyons Hill and Henry Bridge.

The Reeves Castle is kind of tower house and it is in a remarkable state of preservation. This is an example of classic style represented by tower houses built c1300 on the borders of The Pale. The Castle was burned by order of William Parsons and John Borlase in 1641.

The name comes from a reference to the river Liffey in Norman-French, Rives. Reeves was a dijoined section of the nearby parish of Clonaghlins situated in the nearby medieval parish of Castledillon.

This is grab and go cache. You don't need to enter to the property to find a cache. But you can follow the road behind the barieer and go closer to the tower.   If you are lucky you can meet the owner Michael McBennett and get permission to enter the castle.
You will need a pen and tweezers. CAMO.
