Geocache Description:

New "LetterBox" cache in Central Park for all of our caching friends in NYC!

After reading through several logs, I noticed there were several comments about wanting/needing more caches in NYC. While we were visiting the city, I placed several new caches for “ya’all” to enjoy!

This one is a “Letterbox” cache. They are not new, but I did notice there were none in NYC, so here you go! In LetterBox caches, you trade imprints from rubber stamps. You’ll need to bring:

  • A SMALL rubber stamp that you have, or like
  • A stamp ink pad
  • A Pen
  • A small diary or other book to add this letterbox “stamp/impression” to your collection
When you find the cache, take out the Log book and mini-stamp that is in the cache. Ink and place your stamp in the log book, along with your name/date. Use the stamp that is in the cache container to ink and impress in your diary . Be sure to replace the original stamp back with the log book and replace in original hiding spot. With these caches, you don’t leave treasures—the stamp trading is the “treasure”.

ENJOY!
