KR#3 Mariedal
Mariedal är ett hus på Kungsholmen i västra Stockholm som byggdes på 1700-talet. På 1600-talet låg Västra sjötullen här men flyttades 1805 till andra sidan vattnet vid Rörstrand. År 1849 byggde grosshandlare Carl Scharp om huset och gav det namnet Mariedal.
Garvaren Jacob Westin köpte stället och tillbringade sina sista år där, han dog 1880. Därefter var Mariedal under en tid filial till S:t Görans sjukhus och användes för vård av lupussjuka.
Under krigsåren utnyttjades Mariedal som militärförläggning.
Sedan 1962 finns sällskapet Länkarna i Mariedal.
Mariedal is a house on the island of Kungsholmen in western Stockholm built in the 1700s. In the 1600s the west customs station for paying dock dues was situated here, but the station was moved in 1805 to the other side of the water at Rörstrand. In 1849 merchant Carl Scharp built the house and gave it the name Mariedal.
The tanner Jacob Westin bought the place and spent his last years there, he died in 1880.
Also Mariedal was used for treatment of lupus disease for a short time as a branch of St. Göran's Hospital.
During the war Mariedal was used as military barracks.
Since 1962 the sobriety organization ”Länkarna” stays at Mariedal.
