Kicking Horse River and Columbia River Confluence Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

sheloudre: Cache has been archived, as it is currently under about 6 feet of snow, thanks to plows on the road. Also, due to the fact that there are several DNF's just prior to the snow's arrival, that i have to replace the cache. I will check periodically through the winter, and change this status if it becomes available again.

Geocache Description:

New container is a smaller tupperware container, with some swag, and logbook. Some room for smaller tradables. The Columbia River is a heritage river, and the Kicking Horse River joins it at this place. NOTE: The area in front of the cache does flood during run-off (spring melt April - June), so please watch young children nearby during this season. Cache is placed above the flooding area, so should be available year - round. During the winter, you might have to dig a little for it. Road can be busy, but there is a small parking area. More parking little further down the road. Quick word of warning: Thanks to KBABB! Be watchful for ALL kinds of wildlife in the area. Bear, deer, etc may be present, especially during the late summer/fall season. Please keep a close watch on animals and children during this time of year. There is lots of food for different animals in this area.
