Geocache Description:

A natural playground at the Isaac Hale Beach Park.

Isaac Hale Beach Park is a wonderful park area with lots of fun things to do.  It is a favorite of the locals for lauching boats, surfing, swimming, fishing, etc.  Please be mindful that this is not a regular beach area as there is no sand, but more of a lava rock surface entering the ocean.  While there are a few places that the keiki can wade in the water, it is advised to watch carefully as the current can be strong and the lava rocks can be harsh if the waves crash you into them.  The park serves more for the fun of the the nature around you with wonderful and huge twisting trees and plenty of places for picnicing and enjoying the ocean sounds.  You can also get camping permits here and it is quite popular over the summer for fun family outtings.

The name of the cache is obvious once you get here.  You also might want to download the cache before coming here as GPS can be sketchy and there is very little if any signal at all for phone service.  Kids and adult alike love to play in the area so this will require stealth, but if you just get into the fun of it, you can hang in the trees and be on the lookout for where secret stash can be hidden.  Please be aware though, if it has been raining, the area can be slippery so have fun with care. We knew we had to do a hide here because the boys kept begging for us to come here more often and we wanted to make an excuse to do so.

Enjoy the JUNGLE Gym, the ocean sounds, the gorgeous views and the friendly atmosphere.  While you are here, explore the park further and go to the man made playground a little further in and look for another cache: Isaac Kepo'okalani Hale Beach Park
