A small to regular sized cache hidden on a nice circular walk round the outskirts of Bakewell.
This cache is placed on a nice 6ish mile circular route I use for runs.
If you wish to do it as a walk starting from the centre of Bakewell, head across the bridge and up to the station to join the Monsal Trail. Rather than going left with everyone else, go right and follow until the end of the trail (about a mile) before dropping down and keeping left to join Coombs road. Follow this all the way up through farmland and around, joining Park Road and then coming back down past Bowling Green Farm, across ffields and rejoining Park Road before coming back to the A6. Half a mile to the right and you go up again from the other side of the A6 (Intake lane) following until you end up in a field just before you reach the road to Over Haddon and Youlgreave. Head back across the trail across the fields, down into a small valley where the cache is located. Once you've found the cache, continue on the trail until you end up just below the methodist junior school and Yeld road, which can be followed down to Monyash Road and from there back into Bakewell.
The area where the cache is hidden is muddy most of the year, but the cache can always be reached without any difficulty.
Cache is traditional, with a log book, pencil and some odds and ends.
