Miss Ill Toe
Christmas time is far away,
So let’s think of a spring day,
When leaves again have begun,
Grasping madly for the sun.
The plants all fiercely strive,
To kiss the sun and so survive.
From the tiny moss and flower,
To the mighty trees that tower.
But there are some who need others,
Using other trees like nursing mothers.
Look on the hemlock for the mistletoe,
A plant that feeds of another so to grow.
While nestled underneath in the log below,
Rests the plastic box for which you go.
The mistletoe is a forest parasite,
For you to raid the cache would be alright.
