ash with a slash is the 4th cache from "the reid's" PLEASE PLACE BACK IN SAME PLACE YOU FIND IT PLEASE MIND PLANTS TOO
kendal green is in the north kendal , just off windermere road " the gateway to the lake's"
the terracing that can be seen in the woods is from when "tenter frames were ecected on trerraces cut into the hillside.
The frames were shaped like fences about 4-5 feet high. the coarse woolen cloth (green) produced in and around kendal was stretched out on the tenter frames .This is where kendal green got its name from . Similar treeacing can be fround at "prickley fell " just a short walk away .
The cache is in the north west of the woods
